S. Kent Brown

(Ph.D., Brown University) taught for over thirty years at Brigham Young University, where he also served as the Director of FARMS and on the executive council of the Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship. He served as the director of the Brigham Young University Jerusalem Center for Near Eastern Studies. He was a fellow of the American Research Center in Egypt, where he worked on ostraca at the Coptic Museum in Old Cairo. He has also been a fellow of the David M. Kennedy Center in Provo.
